The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business is now accepting submissions for the inaugural Advances in Business Education (ABE) Conference, scheduled for May 16, 2025 in Harrogate, Tennessee. Themed “Promoting Teaching Excellence Through Innovation and Collaboration,” the conference will focus on advancing business education by fostering innovative teaching practices. The event highlights LMU’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences in the Appalachian region.
The ABE Conference will feature three primary presentation tracks:
Pedagogy & Teaching Excellence: Highlighting innovative teaching strategies and methods that enhance student learning and engagement.
Business Research: Presenting research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in business.
Traditional Student Research: Offering a platform for student-led research, allowing students to share their work and engage with faculty and peers.
Abstracts will be reviewed by a peer committee, with accepted abstracts to be published in the conference proceedings.
Submission Guidelines
Abstract submissions must adhere to the following:
Word Count: 400–700 words.
Content: The abstract should be relevant to one of the conference tracks, define the purpose and objectives of the work, outline the methodology (if applicable), and summarize key findings or innovations.
Format: Submissions must be saved as .doc, .docx, or .pdf files and should avoid including tables, figures, or citations.
All abstracts must be submitted by February 28, 2025. Accepted authors will be notified by March 14, 2025. Presenters are expected to give a 30-minute presentation and participate in a 10-minute Q&A session.
